Secret places to eat

Like all good restaurants the ones below offer great food and service but what makes them special is they are found tucked away, waiting to be found and enjoyed by the unassuming traveller.  

The Old Library, Fairlie (S. Island)

The Old Library takes you totally by suprise as you don't expect it to be there! Fairlie is a sleepy little town at the crossroads between Tekapo, Timaru and Geraldine which contains this great restaurant.  You simply don't expect to find a great restarant in this place. If you are passing this way then it's definitely worth a visit.  

The Thirsty Wheta, Otorohanga (N. Island)

Lively atmosphere in this pub- restaurant. Great food, friendly and welcoming service, used lots by the locals. Would not notice it on the way through Otorohanga.
